Alium, a joint venture between MPEG LA and Unified Patents, today announced the availability of the Open RAN Patent Portfolio License (“Open RAN License” or “License”), the first patent pool to address licensing uncertainty in the RAN (“Radio Access Network”) infrastructure space. Vodafone Partners With Intel, Qualcomm and Chipmakers on Open RAN

Vodafone is partnering with more than 20 chip vendors on a project designed to advance the development of Open RAN processors at the firm’s new European R&D center in Spain.
